“The gods didn’t build the final weapon. We did.”
The Price of Power: Humanity Fractured
Following the Singularity’s message in Season Five, the world teeters on a razor’s edge. The promise of the mythical Starbreaker Core—a weapon capable of rewriting timelines—has split the Armorborn factions. Half wish to forge it. Half believe accepting it would bring final extinction.
Amid this divide, a darker terror begins to spread—not from the skies, but from within humanity itself.
The Virus: Necrosynth Infection
Known by survivors as the Necrosynth, a mutagenic virus erupts across the cities. It originates from broken monster cores—especially corrupted Red and Diamond-tier fragments. The virus mutates human DNA, transforming victims into twisted, mindless creatures called Walkers.
Stages of Infection
- Phase 1: Fever, seizures, and memory collapse.
- Phase 2: Walker transformation—undead with core corruption in their bloodstream.
- Phase 3: Mutation into Monstrous Walkers—animalistic, armored beasts capable of killing entire squads.
- Phase 4 (Final Phase): Core Singularity Outburst—infected explode, releasing spores that infect anything nearby.
Even animals are not spared—wolves, birds, even fish become Ragebeasts, monstrous avatars of primal fury, many wielding incomplete core abilities.
Dr. Gabriel Fernandez: The Reluctant Healer
A lone figure hidden in the irradiated ruins of Old Omega’s hospital sector. A scientist. A legend. A sorcerer of timelines. Known only as Dr. Gabriel Fernandez.
Gabriel is the last living mind behind the Core-Stabilization Protocol—the only man with a formula capable of stopping the virus. But he doesn’t offer it freely.
He remains silent. Isolated. Surrounded by technology and illusions. People beg at his gate. Cry. Scream. Offer gold, cores, lives. He refuses them all.
Because Gabriel doesn’t heal for free.
The Cores He Demands
To earn the cure, one must bring Gabriel what he calls “Payment Worth Time.” Specifically:
- Ultimate-Tier Cores (Orange, Red, Diamond, Rainbow)
- Or rare pre-apocalypse artifacts that bend time-space
Only then will Gabriel open the gate. Only then will he whisper the injection sequence.
The Supernatural Doctor
Unknown to most, Gabriel is no mere man. He holds within him four ancient powers:
- Time: Can reverse a localized moment by up to 30 seconds.
- Space: Can teleport, phase, and shift environments.
- Water: Can extract liquid from air, blood, stone.
- Lightning: His eyes flash thunder when angered—many say he once struck down a core beast with his hands.
But Gabriel does not fight. He only watches. Until a new arrival changes everything.
The Corebringer
A mysterious woman clad in broken purple armor arrives at Gabriel’s gates. Her name is lost. But her gift is not: a Rainbow-tier Core—still alive and pulsing. She doesn’t beg. She doesn’t speak. She simply kneels… and offers it.
Gabriel stares at the core… and smiles for the first time in years. He opens the gate. And humanity sees miracles happen.
The Rise of the Starforge Rebellion
Inspired by Gabriel’s action, new factions form—not of warriors, but Core Hunters, searching across the Riftstorm for myth-tier cores to buy time and healing. Cities once lost to walkers are reclaimed. Monsters are pushed back.
But with every act of healing, the virus mutates. The Eldrazari now whisper of something called the Plague Queen—a fusion of walker and core, one step away from becoming a god of death.
And Gabriel knows… even his powers may not be enough.
End Teaser: The Doctor’s Warning
“You forged weapons. You tamed beasts. But the virus… the virus is learning. If the Starbreaker is completed, the Plague Queen will find it. She’s not just infected. She was… created for it.”
“This was never a war for survival. This was evolution… in disguise.”
